ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE SPECIALIST

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Prepare monthly client invoices.

·         Review outstanding client invoices and initiate appropriate collection action including telephone calls and correspondence on delinquent accounts.

·         Request claims processing where necessary when information is provided by clients.

·         Update demographic and payer related information obtained from the patient or client.

·         Ensure all client charges, treatments, and codes are posted correctly.

·         Research disputed delinquent account balances, correct any errors including misapplied payments, direct deposit, and overpayment from insurance errors.

·         Support management on special projects.

·         Answer patient phone calls regarding statements/billing.

·         Prepare refund requests for management approval.

·         Provide excellence in customer service with ability to interact with and instruct colleagues from beginner to advance levels.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Working knowledge of medical, accounts receivable, collections, rejects, denials, appeals and research billing guidelines and policies.

• Working knowledge of various reimbursement methodologies, including reimbursement reductions, fee schedule calculations and comparisons and review of claims for correct payment.

About the Role

Solaris Diagnostics is seeking a reliable, skilled, and patient-focused In-Office Phlebotomist to join our clinical team. In this role, you’ll provide high-quality phlebotomy services directly within our clinic setting. You’ll perform accurate blood draws, maintain specimen integrity, and ensure every patient receives exceptional, compassionate care.

• Perform venipunctures with precision, ensuring positive patient identification and proper specimen labeling.

• Follow laboratory and clinic safety standards to ensure a clean, compliant, and hazard-free work environment.
• Accurately document patient demographics, tests, and specimen details using LIMS
• Maintain phlebotomy supplies, equipment, and workspace organization.
• Collaborate closely with lab personnel, providers, and other clinic staff to support efficient workflow.
• Adhere to all HIPAA, health, safety, and Solaris Diagnostics policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• 1 year of phlebotomy experience (clinical/outpatient preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow protocols with strong attention to detail.

Preferred:

• National Phlebotomy Certification (ASCP, NHA, PBT, or equivalent).
• Experience in a clinic or diagnostic laboratory environment.
•  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong hand-eye coordination for accurate specimen handling.
• Ability to pass a color-coordination test.
• Capable of wearing PPE for 3–6 hours per day.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
